Superb find. Particularly funny when they keep falling over. lots of fouls too. Something to look out for in the future…maybe this will keep the premadonna football players of the English greed league on their toes in years to come. Great video, thanks for sharing.
That is absolutely brilliant – it shows that science and engineering can be fun!
Wow superb. Hope we will also see a robot swimming competition in future as well.
I saw this and was a bit disappointed to be honest. I admire the effort that is gone in to making them but shouldn’t they be a bit better? I suppose they could make them with wheels and a flicker and be a lot better at actually playing football. It is admirable that they have actually made them with 2 legs and that they kick the ball. Are we going to see some real life goalkeepers adopting the “do the splits” move to save the ball?!
I hope there will be a robot quidditch in future ๐ Great video thanks.
This is simply amazing. My 5 year old son was so amazed that he watched the video 3 times!!! Thanks for sharing.
Ha! When will robots be able to fix me breakfast and clean my house like in Rocky IV? This is a step in the right direction.

It’s so funny when they fall over! I wish I had a few robots to clean my house each week ๐
RoboCup is one of the events I look forward more every year. The past year’s was awesome. Looking forward to 2011 now ๐ – unless it’s been done already…? Hope not..
